Where are you based?
Catherine Jane Designs is based in Kent, England.
How are Catherine Jane Designs patterns and images created?
For patterned goods, Catherine Jane draws all imagery by hand. Drawings are then scanned and cleaned up before being digitally painted and designed into the patterns you see on our final products.
For artwork, all imagery is drawn by Catherine, preferably from life studies. Some original artwork is for sale. High quality scans are taken of the original drawings, cleaned up and adjusted to ensure when prints and limited editions are made, that they are as close to the original as possible.
Where are your products made?
We are proud to say all products are responsibly manufactured here in Great Britain, as close to our studio as possible.
Do you take sustainability into consideration?
Absolutely! Sustainability is at the forefront of our minds and we have a strong eco-friendly ethos.
All cards and wrapping papers are FSC Certified (made with materials that support responsible forestry), uncoated and 100% recyclable. Most are even made from recycled materials originally too.
Our textiles are made using reactive inks which gives better rub and wash fastness and conforms to Oeko-tex standard 100 (meaning they contain no harmful chemicals). All of our textiles are also printed on ORGANIC Cotton (which means the Cotton has been produced without the use of pesticides or other harmful chemicals). The Organic Cotton is unscoured, untreated and naturally formed which gives a beautiful natural fleck on the base of all of our textiles.
Our placemats and coasters are made using sustainably sourced, FSC certified Eucalyptus and cork and their fine matt Melamine surface provides heat resistance up to 145°C (293°F). This means they are scratch/stain resistant and have been made to last for years.
Our prints are Giclée fine art prints. These are archival quality and lightfast. Printed onto Premium Etching Cotton 320gsm Cream White, light etching press 100% Cotton. These prints are made to last a lifetime.
All of our goods are manufactured here in Great Britain to minimise our carbon footprint and to support small, local businesses.
The packaging we use is all 100% recyclable or compostable and has all been sourced from Great Britain.

Do you ship to my country?
We ship all products to addresses within the UK.
Textiles and coasters are now available to be shipped internationally to the following countries via the Royal Mail Tracked service; Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain and the USA.
If we do not yet ship to your country, or you would like a product not listed to ship internationally, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
Please note that customers are responsible for all import duties and local taxes.
How much is UK shipping and how long will it take?
Order value up to £2.99, shipping cost is £0.75
Order value £3.00-£9.99, shipping cost £2.70
Order value £10.00-£74.99, shipping cost £3.60 (A3 sized prints in this bracket have a shipping surcharge of £1.70 due to their size)

We aim to dispatch all homeware, textiles and stationary orders the next working day unless stated as pre-order. We keep a small stock of prints before they are made to order so please allow 1-10 working days before shipping for these products.
We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 or 2nd class depending on the size of the order. Royal Mail estimate UK delivery in 2-3 working days on these services.
Can you send orders directly to a recipient?
Certainly!
We can even write a card for you or wrap your gift.
If you would like to include a hand written card, make sure to add one of our greetings cards to your order and send a message to us at info@catherinejanedesigns.co.uk including your special message to the recipient and we will do the rest.
If you would like your gift wrapped, make sure to add one of our wrapping paper sheets to your order and send a message to us at info@catherinejanedesigns.co.uk letting us know this is a gift to be wrapped. We will wrap it and add a complementary ribbon to your order too.
Can I make changes to my order once it has been placed?
Yes, so long as the order has not yet been dispatched. Orders are usually dispatched same day or the next working day. Please contact us as soon as possible at info@catherinejanedesigns.co.uk and we will do all we can to accommodate your request.
I have received my order but I think it is faulty/damaged. What do I do?
Please contact us as soon as possible at info@catherinejanedesigns.co.uk and within 14 days of receipt with a description and photos. We will review this and advise how to proceed.
